Obs! - New Email Group Created! (from Roger)
For those of you at the AGM you may remember that Roger asked if the Society might want a more interactive website. After some discussion, it was decided that a totally 'open' web page might not be desirable and could perhaps create more problems than it solved. However, John Gilmore subsequently suggested a compromise by using a controlled 'Email Group' which would be restricted to members only. This would enable any one who joined this group to submit and receive emails regarding current information about any aspect of the society. This group - scot-swede - has now been created and if you would like to join (at no charge!) please go to the link below and follow the instructions. Any individual email will then be automatically sent to everyone within the group.
http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/scot-swede/
Please be aware that the verification process (ie me checking your valid membership!) might take a day or two so please be patient if you have applied to join this group. In any event, please avoid applying between 19/6 and 12/07 (when I am in Sweden!). Once your membership is approved, you can post emails by going to the group web page.
